  • Part 19 Silly Sister

We are still on this trip. Mom said that the WIFI is unpredictable and that in some places she doesn’t even have a cell signal. I’m not sure what all of that means, but she says we can’t post parts of my life story when I think we should. Oh well, we can today.

My sister is silly. This campground has lots of squirrels and even more rabbits. There are brown rabbits, gray ones and even a few black ones. The squirrels are just a boring gray. Both the squirrels and the rabbits like to come from under the van and scare Sophia. She thinks she is going to catch one. Silly.

  • Part 20 Heading home

Mom’s internet connection has been okay, but we just haven’t had the time to let me post. We have continued to stay at interesting places. Last night we were in a big parking lot by a restaurant where Mom and Dad ate dinner. They were joined by Mom’s friend Kevin. I remember him from when he lived in Texas. Sophia has really enjoyed this stop. The parking lot is dirt. Now the van will have more dirt. Girls.

  • Part 21 – We Are Home

We are back home. Sophia and I had to wait for Mom to cut the weeds in our back yard play area before we could go out. Mom said that at a foot tall, they were just too much to wade through to get to our outside leads. I liked going out first thing every morning and last thing every evening while we traveled. It is usually very peaceful in campgrounds before dawn.

It did feel good to experience all of the smells of home. Mom said we looked like dogs as we sniffed at everything inside and outside the house. It was also nice to stretch our legs as we ran from the family room to the living room and back again. Mom said we had the zoomies, whatever that is. I liked our trip but running free is also very special. Wish we could do that outside, but I do understand Mom’s concerns about the mean dog that lives down the street. That dog has a history of doing bad things to cats and small dogs.

Mom continues to unpack things from the van. She has also being doing lots of loads of laundry. She didn’t seem to like my help in folding the sheets after she air dried them. They just had such a nice smell. I liked sitting in the laundry basket. She continued to lift me out to reach another sheet or blanket. She wants everything clean and fresh before we go on another trip. Not sure when she can convince Dad to do that anytime soon.

This picture is of my favorite time of the day when we are on the road.
