  • Part 61 – Positive Covid

I can now say that I don’t like Covid. Mom said I can’t catch it from her, but Dad sure did. By Thursday night, Mom was coughing and said she felt rotten. Before bed, Dad also felt bad. By Friday morning Mom had them both take a Covid test. She said it was positive. She called the doctor’s office. He called her back to confirm things. He asked if she worked the election. I guess a whole lot of them all have the same doctor. Mom had to drive 15 miles each way to pick up some medicine. She said that she was glad their insurance company paid that bill. She and Dad went to bed extra early. I think she liked that I stayed right by her side all night. By Saturday morning they seemed to be doing a little better. She didn’t like it when I sat on her chest. I was only trying to make certain that she knew how much I love her.

Today, they don’t seem to have a lot of energy. Mom took Missy for her early walk, but I doubt is she takes Sophia and I out to play later. The sun is shining, so it would be nice to go out. There are more flowers blooming all over the yard. I’ll do my part, however, and snuggle with her while she watches movies. I want Mom and Dad and her friends to all get better quickly.

  • Part 62 – St Patrick’s Day

I’m not Irish, and I don’t think Mom and Dad are Irish either. I’ve heard about green beer and parades on St Patrick’s Day. We don’t do either of those things. Mom did, however, put a corned beef in the crockpot. It cooked all day, giving our house an odd smell. Later she added potatoes and onions. When it was close to dinner time, she cut up cabbage and added it to the crockpot. As they started to eat dinner, Dad kept saying how good it tasted, and he thanked Mom for cooking it. Personally, I think they are both nuts. She makes lots of things that smell wonderful. This wasn’t one of them. Sophia said it wasn’t something she wanted to try. I wonder if Mom will cook something that we can all enjoy. I saw that she packed away some leftovers. Let’s hope that isn’t what she plans to fix for the next day or two. I think it might be time for salmon!

  • Part 63 – Author Central

Because Mom has had 5 books published, she has an author page on Amazon. Over the years they have changed the rules on what she can put there. When she received the shipment of books, she made and then posted a video about unpacking the book. I didn’t think it was very exciting, but at least she tried. She made a few other videos as well, but none of the them were about me. Those videos no longer show up on her Amazon author page. Today she tried to post information about these blog posts. She was not allowed to give the web address for the blog or even for her website in general. Do they honestly think this is going to help her sell her books on Amazon? Hmmmm.

    Check her out: https://www.amazon.com/author/alynebailey

At the end of her bio, she talks about me and my blog posts. Maybe she really does need to make this into a book so I can be a true part of her author page.
