Part 94 – Pictures

Mom is still spending too much time with her camera. The group she has joined has a new mission each week to take a picture that addresses a certain topic. This last week it was doors. Our house has lots of doors. The hallway that connects the living/dinning room with the family room/kitchen has doors at each end as well as the doors to the bedrooms on opposite sides. The living room is connected to the dinning room with a set of glass paneled doors that Mom says are French, and part of the reason she wanted to buy this house. I know that France is another country a long way away from us, so I don’t know how those doors got to our house, but that is another story. Mom usually keeps the French doors closed unless she is doing something special in the dinning room.

Mom also closes the door between the living room and hallway at night. She says it is to keep us from causing trouble in there while she sleeps. The door at the other end of the hall is always left open. Mom told me that long before they bought the house, that door was an outside door. She also said that she removed the doorframe that opened into the kitchen. She reframed it so that the opening was large enough to bring in the stove and refrigerator. She and Dad even added a second back door. The new one leads from the family room to the back deck they built. The old one leads to the carport area. This is the one we use most often.

Mom took pictures of a number of these doors, but wasn’t happy with them. She decided to go outside and take her picture of the glass front door. Missy likes to look out of that one and bark at everything she sees. That is just what Mom took a picture of. Silly dog.

Me at the back hallway door that is rarely closed. Not a flattering picture.
