The sun is shining this morning. I like that. It looks so pretty outside. The flowers aren’t blooming yet, but I know they will be soon. I like to see them outside the guest room window. I don’t ever get to visit them (unless I can slip out the door) but they are still pretty in yellows and blues. I can see others out the living room window. Those are across the driveway in the Cat Lady’s yard. I know some of them will also be red, but we won’t see them for a while yet. That window is one of my favorites because the padded window seat gets very warm from the sunshine. Mom read the forecast to me earlier, so I know I’ll be taking a nap there a little later. I do like to be warm.
That warm sunshine doesn’t shine inside as much as I would like. Today that sunshine has those cold sparkles on the grass that Mom says is frost. We don’t have the snow that I see on Mom’s computer screen when her friends share pictures of their yards. We just have frozen mud puddles and that frost which means it is freezing outside. I’m glad that I have a warm home, but this old house has cold floors. Cold floors means that I have cold feet. I don’t like that, and Mom doesn’t like it either when I sit on her lap. Of course when she comes in from outside after walking Missy, her hands are cold. I don’t want her to rub my ears with those cold hands. I guess it is a tradeoff. Maybe tomorrow will be warmer!
