Part 34 – Sunday is Shopping

Today is Sunday. This is when Mom and Dad do their weekly grocery shopping. They started it during that nasty time of Covid-19. Mom said that early on Sunday mornings there were fewer people in the stores. They could easily stay 6 feet away from the other people. She liked that. She would have her list ready and zip in and out quickly. I don’t think Dad does as much zipping these days, but he usually goes with her.

I like shopping days because Mom puts Sophia and me on our outside leads. We get to explore while they bring in the bags of groceries. She usually lets us stay out while she puts everything away. Then she takes Missy for a walk around the back yard, before bringing us in. Some times I like to step out of my harness and continue to sniff things. Mom doesn’t like that, but I try to make it a sport of “Catch Me If You Can.” Only when I get tired, do I let her catch me. It is a fun time. Waiting to go outside just takes so long.
