We are in Michigan. It has been a good trip. Sophia and I have gotten to explore outside every night before we all tuck into bed. So many different smells.

Today, we will see some of Mom’s friends. I know she also plans to walk on the beach. I don’t want to join her in that!

It seems to take Mom forever to get the van unpacked and things put away. Then she focuses on getting the house back in order and cutting the grass. These are all really boring activities. It has been hot so she hasn’t been excited about having us outside exploring on our leads while she does other outside things. Hopefully she will do that today. I miss smelling the grass. Sophia has not felt well (her sneezing has increased) so that might be part of the reason we have been confined indoors. For both of us, eating some grass makes us throw up when we are back inside. I don’t think Mom likes that, but we do. Since cats rule, she just needs to clean it up and get on with things!

Mom has talked about the Fall trip. I don’t think she has started to plan it yet. I don’t think she is planning to make it a long trip. Dad says it wears him out too much. We shall see.

This morning, I sat in front of Mom’s keyboard until she understood we were doing my blog post before she detoured. She seems to think she needs to create the weekly grocery shopping list before she types my blog. I only have one favorite cat food and it comes from Costco, so her list is not that important. I told her we need to get back on track with my blog, because I have people who depend on me!

Besides working on her latest book, she has joined an online group who do a weekly photography challenge. She said she wants to refresh her love of photos. She was at least smart enough to make her first entry a new photo of me. What do you think?
