Red Hats in Love Mystery # 3

Mable Schmidel and the Ladies of the St James Apartments have proven to be good investigators in their first two cases. Now, Mabel is taking a much-needed vacation with her friend, Mark Emery on an Amtrak trip from Seattle to Chicago. There they meet with his old law school friends for an informal reunion. He is also planning to introduce her to kayaking on the Chicago River after having shared stories of his undergraduate days on the rowing crew. That all changes when they discover one of those old friends floating in the river. Can Mabel solve the crime before Mark is convicted of the murder? She and the Ladies of the St. James are on the case.
